Melania Trump is now at the center of a serious legal and political controversy involving the Jeffrey Epstein files. After her lawyer sent a threatening letter demanding that author Michael Wolff retract claims about her alleged connections to Epstein—and warning of a $1 billion lawsuit—Melania never actually sued. Instead, Michael Wolff sued her, arguing that her threats were meant to silence his First Amendment speech.
Now, Melania is refusing to accept legal service. Process servers have attempted to serve her at Trump Tower and through her lawyer, but both efforts were blocked. Wolff says this appears to be deliberate evasion. Because of this, he plans to ask the court to deem her officially served and move the case forward.
If that happens, Wolff will pursue full discovery, including depositions of Melania Trump and Donald Trump, along with subpoenas for emails, texts, and documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Wolff, a former Trump biographer who also spoke directly with Epstein, claims to have firsthand knowledge and even says Epstein showed him compromising photographs involving Trump.
By threatening Wolff and then backing away, Melania may have unintentionally opened the door to damaging legal discovery, potentially pulling Donald Trump deeper into scrutiny over Epstein connections.
